Week 2: My five step plan for life and business success

W

eek 2 is off and running and I found it so valuable to go through the exercise here. Before I do share what I thought, let me give you an update on my Week 1 progress. I felt getting my fears of failure down on public and sharing them with you very challenging. The mere notion of discussing them at all is intimidating, add to that that you'd all be able to see the fears (some of which revolve around how these blog posts themselves will be received), took courage. Funny thing, once I did it - the fear of failure really went away. I didn't feel it necessary to think of them at all anymore. Strangely I felt that by exposing them with the world voluntarily, I no longer needed to hide from them and could instead just focus on the task of turning those fears into challenges, and those challenges into opportunity. This week, in my Week 2, I found that I needed to focus on changing my methodology more quickly to achieve success. At times I have found that when I don't succeed, I try and try and try again. Some would call that persistent and resilient - which is good. But, too often I admit, I don't pay enough attention to making minor (or for that point major) adjustments from attempt to attempt. I need to ask for help and become more resourceful about changing my approach in the face of setbacks more quickly. That, along with the other items listed above on my Week 2 worksheet are listed here. I also re-listened to the

Week 2 podcast - which helped bring this to life for me. Make it a great week!
